John Leo Gregoire, 70, of Salina, passed away August 2, 2013, in Salina, KS. John was born in Providence, RI, to Leo and Kay Gregoire on July 31, 1943. He graduated from Cleary School in Foxpoint, RI, in 1958, and from Hope High in 1962. John enlisted in the US Air Force and was stationed in Salina, KS, at Schilling AFB. It was there he met Nita Brunsell who was his wife for 36 years before her passing in 2002. John is survived by two sons: Matt Gregoire of Topeka and his two children, and Mitchell Gregoire of Providence, RI. John's eldest son, Jared Savage, passed in 2005. He is also survived by three siblings: Richard Gregoire of Providence, RI, Jeanette Souza of South Kingstown, RI, and Paula Schwartz of Fortuna, CA. He was also the brother of the late Donna Gregoire of Providence, RI. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, from 4-7 pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. A fellowship will follow the committal service at the Bank of America Community room.
