Obituary of Gloria Buffington

Gloria Yvonne Buffington passed away May 16, 2013. She was born near Marquette December 7, 1925 to William and Delia (Broman) Lindh.
She attended Riverside grade school and graduated from Marquette High School later graduating from cosmetology school in Salina, practicing intermittently as a beautician throughout her life.
In 1950 she married Verle Buffington at Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. They spent the next 62 years living on the family farm where she was a homemaker and farmwife.
She served as director of the Marquette Senior Center for more than twenty years, retiring in 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Deborah, son Dennis, and brothers; Wayne and Robert Lindh.
She is survived by husband Verle, son Tom, daughter Jeri Lou (Ernst) Hintz, grandchildren: Jessica Dawson, Matt Dawson, Katya Hintz, Kira Hintz, brother-in-law Edward Reed, and several nieces and nephews.
Following a private family burial, a memorial service will be held at Elim Lutheran Church Saturday, June 29th, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation with the family will be at the church, Friday, June 28th, from 5 to 7 p.m.
