Charles Phillip Piper, 84, of Marquette, passed away May 2, 2013.
He was born February 11, 1929, the son of Harry and Marie (Dewey) Piper in Marquette, KS.
Charles was the former owner of Piper's Fine Foods in Marquette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora, brothers: Harold, Robert and Warren, sisters: Ruth Peterson and Charlotte Harmon, and grandson, Matthew Steven Piper.
Survivors include his sons Charles Steven and his wife Mary of Marquette, and their children Jenny and husband Bryan Ewing of Gardner, Levi and his wife Megan and their son Atticus of Marquette: Samuel Clay and his wife Deb Schmid of Salina, and daughter Ally and husband Tyler Johnson of Mission: Mitchell Drew and his wife Robin and their children Olivia, Alden, and Preston of Avon, CT: sister, Lucille and husband Hap Kumle of Marquette, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 7, at Marquette United Methodist Church, with the casket open an hour prior to service time. Burial will be held at Marquette City Cemetery following the funeral service.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be designated for the Riverview Estates, Marquette Senior Center, or Marquette United Methodist Church in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
