Nancy Louise McCullough, 70, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center in Salina, KS. Nancy was born in Lindsborg on August 16, 1942, the daughter of Carl Melvin and Emma Marie (Palmquist) Sundberg. Nancy married Michael Glen McCullough of Lindsborg, on July 18, 1961. Their marriage produced three children: Mary Louise, Julie Marie, and Ty Andrew. Nancy graduated from Lindsborg Rural High School in 1960 and attended Bethany College. Nancy was a long-time employee for the Smoky Valley Insurance Agency as an office manager and insurance agent. Previously she worked for the Farmer's Union Elevator, Bethany College, Carl B. Anderson Law Office, and the Simmental Shield Magazine. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Mike McCullough; daughter, Mary Louise Alexander; father, Melvin Sundberg; and in-laws, Glen and Ruth McCullough. Nancy is survived by her children, Julie and Ty; grandchildren, Tyler, Megan, and Brianna Alexander; her mother, Emma Sundberg; sister, Leah Ann Anderson, all of Lindsborg; sister-in-law, Kathleen McCullough, of Salina, and many other family members and friends. Nancy enjoyed singing and spent many years as a member of the Bethany College Oratorio Society and the Bach at Bethany Singers. As a life-long member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Nancy devoted many hours singing in the church choir, serving as a Stephen Minister, and serving on the Fellowship Committee and Church Council. Nancy was an avid bird-watcher and loved to fish. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister and her greatest love was being with her family. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, mother, sister, and other loved ones. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 6, at 10:30 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Bethany College Oratorio Society, Tammy Walker Cancer Center, or the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center.
