Elfriede Horun, 82, passed away October 1, 2012 at her home after a long illness. She was born March 15, 1930 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Elfriede was a mother and a homemaker, and a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, Altar Society, American Legion Auxilary, and Lindsborg Community Hospital Auxilary.
She married Nick Horun on July 10, 1951. He passed away December 17, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Manfred Hock and son John Horun.
Elfriede is survived by her daughters: Doris (Doug) Olson and Susie ( Bryan) Morel all of Lindsborg, 6 grandchildren: Brandon Morel, Erica Heline, Jessica Morel, Krista Morel, David Olson and Donald Olson, 8 great-grandchildren, and a sister Zelia (Bill) Smith of La Grange, North Carolina.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg with rosary following.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for St. Bridget Catholic Church, Hospice of Kansas, or Lindsborg Community Hospital in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
