Kenneth Eugene Eklund, 87, of Bennington, passed away August 21, 2012.
He was born July 2, 1925, the son of Robert and Daveta (Childs) Eklund in Lindsborg, KS. Kenneth married RoseMary Ellyson in Salina in 1973.She passed away August 30, 2002.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Jane McMurray.
Kenneth is survived by his sons: Kenneth B. Hucksoll Jr. of McPherson, Kevin Eklund of Columbia, MO, Keith Eklund of St. Paul, MN, daughters: Margaret Marie Slick of Longmont, CO, Mary Fay Ardis of Pineville, LA, Marinda Gene Hewitt of Salina, sister, Florence Shogren of Assaria, brother, Robert "Bob" Eklund of Eckert, CO, 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for the Kenneth Eklund family in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
