To the Drescher family, We want to express our sincere sympathy to your famiy during this time of sorrow. I'll never forget the years that I worked for Larry at the garden center. And then later, seeing him at running races. He was always friendly and will be surely missed. Sincerely, Eldred and Becky Maresch

Larry was one of the nicest persons I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Through Boy Scouts to working at the Green House in the summer, he always took a special interest and really cared for those around him. Larry was a great role model and mentor and his unselfish contribution to the Great Bend community will never be forgotten.

To all of Larry's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I don't ever remember not knowing your dad or your family. Larry was one of my dad's best friends. There wasn't any plant they didn't know, no knot they couldn't tie, anything one didn't know or couldn't figure out, the other one could. I will never forget the many years of working the garden out at the house on N. 281, and trying to sneak away from work to go jump on the trampoline. I'll also always remember the Christmas that Larry and Sarah and my parents switched the gifts they had all bought for us kids, with the Drescher's hiding our gifts, and my parents hiding the Drescher's gifts. We couldn't figure out why mom and dad only put the gifts under their bed, not wrapped or really hidden, and it was nothing that we had wanted! We were not looking forward to Christmas morning. I know that the surprise on our faces had to match the surprise happening at your home that morning. I still laugh at how well they pulled that one over on us. The picture you have is one I took out at the greenhouse on N281 in December of 1997. I am so honored that you chose to use that.
