Robert Johan Jensen, 80, of Lindsborg, passed away June 13, 2012.
He was born June 4, 1932, the son of Sverre and Swanhild (Peterson) Jensen in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Robert was a proud Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Education was also very important to Robert, and he always promoted to others the opportunities made available by a solid education. He earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Utah, and his Masters in Public Administration from Chico State University in California. Robert had a longtime interest in history, politics, and finance. He also loved a good game of chess.
He married "his miracle" Linda Kuntz on March 3, 1979, in Anderson, California.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Arne Jensen.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Lindsborg, sons: Frank and wife Maritza Jensen and their son Rael of Campbell, California, and Larry and wife Patricia Jensen of Oakland, California, brother, Ronald and wife Gwenyth Jensen of Hillsboro, Oregon, and sister, Norma Child of Salt Lake City, Utah.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
Memorials may be designated for Hospice Care of Kansas or Bethany Home in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
There will be no visitation.
