Obituary of Landis Larson

Landis LaVern (Bud) Larson, 89, of Salina, formerly of Lindsborg, passed away May 28, 2012. Bud was born to Joseph and Gerti (Rasmusson) Larson on October 13, 1922 on the farm in Lindsborg where he lived most of his life. Bud was a farmer and rancher who lived in the Lindsborg area almost his entire life. He also worked at International Milling Company and Rickel Manufacturing in Salina. He was proud to be a charter member of the Lindsborg Lions Club. He married Lois Tremain May 6, 1951, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerti (Rasmusson) and Joseph Larson, brother, Capt. Dunward Larson, and sister, Ione Stroessner. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois, sister, Virgie Berg of Lindsborg, children; Lee and wife Kim Larson of Lindsborg; Lauren and wife Karen Larson of Shawnee; Lanis and husband Darroll Atwood of Ozawkie; 6 grandchildren: Megan and husband Bryan Wagoner, Brooke and husband Shane Hebert, Elena Larson, Adam Larson, Nicole and husband Ben Pharris, Jennifer Atwood and 2 great-grandchildren: Annleigh Wagoner and Blake Hebert. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 PM at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
