Betty Everhart passed away April 2, 2012 at the age of 88.
Betty was born on May 24, 1923 in Lindsborg, Kansas to Lucile and James Killfoil. After completing High School, Betty attended Bethany College where she met her husband W.D. (Silver) Everhart. They were married on September 23, 1943 and shared 67 years together. They had two sons, Scott and Shannon.
Betty was a member of the Eastern Star Felicity Chapter and Trinity United Methodist Church of Lindsborg. Betty worked at Swedish Crafts gift store for many years before retiring in 1988. In her leisure time, she enjoyed golfing and bowling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Scott, brothers, Warren and Marvin, and sister, Norah LaRene.
She is survived by her son, Shannon and wife Joy of Lindsborg, sister, Sara O'Mary of Littleton Colorado, three grandchildren. Tori Everhart, Aurora Colorado, Shana Everhart, Fort Bragg California, and David and wife Kristin Everhart, Shawnee Kansas, and three great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jack, Shawnee and Cooper, Fort Bragg. Special in-laws, Wanda and Bill Grosser , Jack and Ilene Hathaway and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm Wednesday at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
Memorials may be designated to Bethany Home or Trinity United Methodist church in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
