Obituary of Carol Johnson

Carol Faye Johnson, 64, of Lindsborg, passed away February 7, 2012. She was born April 12, 1947, the daughter of Royal and Lola Mae (Davis) Hendershot in Hutchinson, KS. Carol attended Kansas State University, and graduated in 1969. She married Duane Johnson on May 30, 1970, in South Hutchinson. She taught Junior High in Kansas City, before moving with Duane back to the family farm in 1974, where they worked and raised their sons together. Carol had a 20 year career working as an advocate for children. She enjoyed volunteering in church and 4-H activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother; Steve Hendershot. Carol is survived by her husband, Duane of Lindsborg, sons; Russell Johnson and wife Leann of Abilene, Allen Johnson of Lindsborg, brothers; Stan Hendershot and wife Monica of Pratt, KS, Scott Hendershot of Wichita, granddaughters; Alyvia and Amara Johnson, and many family and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am Saturday at Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
