Obituary of Mary Alexander

Mary Louise Alexander, 49, of Lindsborg, KS, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Lindsborg Community Hospital. She was born in Lindsborg on June 15, 1962, to Michael G. and Nancy Louise (Sundberg) McCullough. Mary Louise married Melvin Thomas Alexander of Crowheart, Wyoming, on January 3, 1987. Their marriage produced three children, Forrest Tyler, Megan Elizabeth, and Brianna Leah. Mary Louise was a loving wife and mother. She loved crocheting and tending to her animals. She was also fond of making jewelry and loved to watch football games and car races. Mary Louise was preceded in death by her father, Mike McCullough, father-in-law, Alfred Alexander, maternal grandfather, Melvin Sundberg, and paternal grandparents, Glen and Ruth McCullough. In the past, Mary Louise worked as a Conservation Aid for the Soil Conservation Service in Wyoming, a CNA at several nursing homes, and as a news reporter. Mary Louise leaves her husband and children, mother, Nancy McCullough, sister and brother, Julie and Ty McCullough, and maternal grandmother, Emma Sundberg, all of Lindsborg. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Charlotte Alexander, and sister-in-law, Pauline Hodgson of Riverton, Wyoming, as well as many other family members and friends. Mary Louise's greatest love was being with her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, mother, sister, brother, grandmother, and other loved ones. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg, KS.
