Marilyn Young, 88, of Marquette, passed away November 5, 2011.
She was born April 24, 1923, the daughter of Elmer and Nellsine (Soby) Brundin in rural McPherson County.
Marilyn was a homemaker, and a member of Elim Lutheran Church.
She married Charles Marlin Young on March 28, 1942, in Marquette, KS. He passed away in December of 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Madlyn Cunningham and Marie Davis.
Marilyn is survived by daughters; Pat Yost and husband Virgil of Colorado Springs, CO, Pam Michel and husband Steve of Salina, sister-in-law, Betty Zorn of Salina, grandchildren, RaShelle Hindman and husband Mike, Kim Pogue and husband Curtis, Christopher Michel and wife Kendell, Jaime Vanderbeck and husband Chris, and great-grandchildren, Chase and Brady Hindman, Connor Pogue, and Ledger Michel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette, with burial following at Freemount Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for Elim Lutheran Church or Riverview Estates in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
There will be no visitation.
