Gerald "Jerry" Lee Spitznagel, 79, of Lindsborg, passed away September 29, 2011.
He was born July 28, 1932, the son of Edward William and Verna June (McCowen) Spitznagel in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was a teacher and administrator, and a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg.
He married Lois Carlson on July 12, 1953, in Stanton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shari Dreher.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lois of the home, son, James William Spitznagel and wife Annamarie of Roseville, CA, sisters, Verna Jean Brown of Houston, TX, Mary Ohlemeier and husband Don of Great Bend, and grandchildren, Jennifer Justice, Michael, Kristin, and Melissa Spitznagel.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday at Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for Evangelical Covenant Church of Lindsborg in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
