Obituary of Marjorie Swenson

Marjorie Ann Swenson, 77, of Lindsborg, passed away September 29, 2011. She was born January 10, 1934, the daughter of Ebin Delmar and Ann Lee (Enoch) Lundgren in Lindsborg. She was a longtime Lindsborg resident and recently retired from the bookstore at the Lindsborg Biblioteca. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, and enjoyed serving as one of the "bulletin babes". She was also active in Raymer Society, TACOL, American Red Cross Blood Drives, and the Lindsborg Senior Center. She married Daune Richard Swenson on June 22, 1952, at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, and two sons, Gene and Bruce Swenson. Marjorie is survived by her children; Mark Swenson and wife Jill of Erie, MI, Dauna Swenson Howerton and husband Walter of Austin, TX, Sara Anderson and husband David of Circleville, KS, Todd Swenson of Salina, Amy Swenson of St. Joseph, MO, siblings; Gene Lundgren of Salina, Madeline Shipman of Lindsborg, Mary Ellen Brown and husband Bill of Palm Bay, FL, grandchildren; Ingrid James and husband Chadron, Eric and Nick Howerton, Rae Ann, Melissa, Lea, and Ian Anderson, and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church.
