Obituary of Venita Swisher

Venita Ebba Swisher, 95, of Lindsborg, passed away September 23, 2011. She was born January 28, 1916, the daughter of Gust A. and Hulda J. (Anderson) Johnson in Bridgeport, Kansas. She was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lindsborg. She married Roy Melvin Swisher on July 22, 1939, in Lindsborg. He passed away February 2, 2002. She was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and Wilbert Johnson, and sisters, Viola, Verna, Vive, Victoria, and Walborg. Venita is survived by her sons, Dwight Swisher and wife L'Jean of Lindsborg, Donald Swisher and wife Judith of Holton, sister, Virginia Prickett of McPherson, and grandchildren, Danette Sampson and husband James of Castle Rock, CO, Dena Swisher of Holton, Mijkin Haxton and husband Tom of Lindsborg, Kiff Swisher of Lindsborg, Keir Swisher and wife Ashley of Salina, Ky Swisher and wife Kelsey of Lindsborg, and Bryn Swisher of Salina. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lindsborg. Private family burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.
