Harriet Beta Nelson, 86, of Lindsborg, passed away June 22, 2011.
She was born September 20, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Harriet (Buchanan) Hoffhines in Marquette, Kansas.
She was a Lindsborg resident since 1946, moving from Pueblo, Colorado. She was a school cook for USD 400, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg.
Harriet married Norman Woodrow Nelson on July 2, 1944 at Marquette, Kansas. He passed away September 24, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, and 2 brothers, Allen and Robert Hoffhines.
She is survived by sons; Lynn and his wife Connie Nelson of Whitewater, Gary and his wife Karen Nelson of Lincoln, and Bill and his wife Kristin Nelson of Lindsborg, sister, Marjorie Oleen of Lindsborg, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
Memorials may be designated to Trinity United Methodist Church in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
