John C. Whitfield, 83, of Lindsborg, passed away May 14, 2011. John was born December 13, 1927, the son of Fredrick A. and Beulah (Chalmers) Whitfield in Sialkot, India. He was an artist. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Akers) Whitfield of the home, daughters, Susan Whitfield-Lundgren of Lindsborg, KS, and Janice Harty of McPherson, KS., brother, Howard Whitfield of San Bernardino, CA, sister, Margaret Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, and 2 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be designated for McPherson Humane Society in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N Washington Street P. O. Box 386 Lindsborg, KS. Online condolences at www.ChristiansFuneralHome.com There will be no visitation.
