Obituary of Patricia Sether

Patricia Marie Sether, 64, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away peacefully March 23, 2011, at home with her loving family by her side following a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Pat was born December 12, 1946, in Monett, MO, the daughter of the late Frank Baxter and Marie Squibb. After attending school in Monett, Pat spent her younger days living in numerous communities including Enid, OK, Cartharge, MO, Coffeyville, KS, Lindsborg, KS, Chanute, KS, Derby, KS, and Knob Noster, MO. Pat married CMSgt. Gilbert J. Sether on February 13, 1985. For the past 26 years, they lived in Warrensburg, where she supported Gil during the later portion of his 30 year Air Force Career. Pat was a gifted homemaker who loved cooking, baking, flower gardening, tending to her pet puppies, and bird watching. Above all, her most precious time was spent visiting with her family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Frank Baxter. Pat is survived by her husband, Gilbert of the home, mother, Marie Squibb of Lindsborg, sister Margaret Hedberg of Marquette, KS, brother Kenneth Mayfield of Hamilton, OH, son, Richard Liby of McPherson, KS, a favorite niece Melinda Rogers of Marquette, two-step-daughters, 8 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. "Miss Pat, we all love you very much and miss you dearly." Visitation will be from 4-7 pm with family present from 6-7pm Tuesday at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Lindsborg, KS. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
