Betty Jo Almquist, 82, of Assaria, passed away March 19, 2011.She was born June 5, 1928, the daughter of Howard and Mary Ann (Bell) Wickersham , in Salina, Kansas. She was a homemaker, and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Cambria, and Assaria Lutheran Church.She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Almquist, and two sisters, Julia and Dorothy. Betty is survived by a son, Michael Workman of Salina, brothers, John Wickersham of Salina, Jim Wickersham of Houston, TX, sisters, Elizabeth Priddy of Lindsborg, Mary Jane Chappel of Warrensburg, MO, one grandson, 2 step-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Assaria Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at Assaria Lutheran Cemetery.Memorials may be designated for the Little Tots Christians Pre-School in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N Washington Street P. O.
