Tim and Patrick, I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad, Mr. Clark to me, was one of my favorite teachers and just an all-around wonderful human being. He was my principal at Riverside School, where I went until 4th grade when it closed, and we moved to Soderstrom Elementary. At Soderstrom, he was my History teacher and track coach. Believe you me I was no track star, but Mr. Clark always encouraged me and presented me with a certificate for “Intestinal Fortitude” (meaning to have the courage and determination necessary to do something difficult or unpleasant) for completing the 440-yard dash at one of our track meets (pretty sure I came in last). I’ve thought about him many times through the years. My heart goes out to you both.
