Gayla Darlene Nelson, 63, of Lindsborg passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at home in Lindsborg. Gayla was born March 19, 1960 in Topeka, KS to the late Donald Douglas and the late Agnes Pauline Mann. Following the death of her father at a young age, Gayla’s mother remarried and she was raised by Carl Mann.
Gayla completed high school and professional school. She worked as a medical information transcriptionist.
She is survived by her daughter: Stephanie Miller of McPherson, KS; son: Andrew Nelson of McPherson, KS; grandchildren: Tucker and Isaac Nelson and Payten and Mason Miller; as well as brothers: Ronald and Gary Douglas; and sisters: Teresa McInnis and Sheila Albright.
Gayla was preceded in death by her parents and adoptive father, Carl Mann; brother: Donald Douglas; and her sister: Linda Sells.
Cremation has been selected. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.
