Obituary of Muriel Evelyn Strange

Muriel Evelyn “Mimo” Strange, 96, of Lindsborg passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Lindsborg Community Hospital. Muriel was born March 22, 1927 in Lindsborg, KS to the late Roy and Blanche (Allgood) Nelson. She married Reuben Strange on June 15, 1944 at McPherson, KS.
Muriel was a lifelong Lindsborg resident. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Muriel was homemaker, wife, and mother.
Survivors include her daughter: Cheryl Fletcher (Mark) of Baldwin City, KS; son: Richard Strange (Lynn) of Salina, KS; brother: Richard Nelson of Lawrence, KS; as well as 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Reuben; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be Friday, November 10 from 5-7PM at Crick-Christians Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, November 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Esther Achi officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Elmwood Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshment at the church following the interment.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the Lindsborg Community Hospital. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
