VernaBelle Rose Forsberg, 100, of Lindsborg passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Bethany Home of Lindsborg, KS. VernaBelle was born October 11, 1922 in Roxbury, KS. She is the daughter of the late Francis and the late Sarah (Hesher) Henne. VernaBelle graduated high school and worked awhile as an office assistant. She was also a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Assaria Lutheran Church. VernaBelle was the widow of the late Marion K. Norland and Glenn E. Forsberg. Survivors include her sons: Craig Forsberg of Assaria, KS and Gene Forsberg (Peggy) of Boyle, KS; sister-in-law: Ruth “Dolly” Nelson of Lindsborg, KS ; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. VernaBelle is preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; brothers: Ivan Henne and Milan Henne; sister: Delilah Ingram; sons: Lyle Norland and Gary Forsberg; and grandson: Luke Forsberg. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 6 at Assaria Lutheran Church, 124 W 1st St, Assaria, KS with Pastor Dean Apel officiating. There will be viewing and visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mentor, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Home or to Assaria Lutheran Church. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
