Obituary of Marilyn R. Bunger

Marilyn Ruby Bunger, 94, of Lindsborg passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. Marilyn was born October 3, 1928 in Salina, KS to the late Luther and the late Ruby (Norquist) Frost. She married Donald Bunger on February 12, 1950 at Assaria, KS.
Marilyn worked as a telephone operator and for many years in the kitchen at Bethany Home.
She was a member of Assaria Lutheran Church, where she was active in many functions. Marilyn was also a member of W.E.L.C.A.
Survivors include her daughter: Darlene Shields (Mike) of Lindsborg, KS; sons: Terry Bunger (Beth) of Salina, KS, and Steve Bunger (Vicky) of Haysville, KS; as well as 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many extended family members.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Donald; and brothers: Emery Frost and Merle Frost.
Visitation will be Friday, April 21 from 5-7PM at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 am on Saturday, April 22 at Assaria Lutheran Church, 124 W 1st St, Assaria, KS with Pastor Dean Apel officiating. Burial and committal services for the family will take place prior to the celebration of life.
Memorials may be made to Assaria Lutheran Church or to Bethany Home. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.67456.
