Roseline J. "Joan" Gillberg, 94, formerly of Lindsborg, died Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Brookdale of McPherson, Ks. Joan was born October 7, 1928 in McPherson, Ks. to the late Harold A. and the late Beulah N. (Cooper) Malm.
Joan graduated high school and then married Dwight Irwin Gillberg, on July 17, 1949 in Lindsborg, Kansas. Joan was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg.
Survivors include her children: Joyce Huber (Jim) of Lindsborg, Ks. Dennis Gillberg (Janice) of Salina, Ks; Reva Jean Purcell (Larry) of McPherson, Ks; Rebecca Vanderhoof (Dale) of Larned, Ks; and Ellen Peck (Gordon) of McPherson, Ks; brother: Charles Malm; sister: Mary Lou Janzen; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Dwight; brother; Dean Malm; and grandson; Nathaniel Huber.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 26 from 5 p.m.- 7p.m. at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg.
A Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, Ks. Private family interment of the urn will take place at Bridgeport Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to TACOL or Gentiva Hospice. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, Ks 67456.
