For some reason Mr. Apel crossed my mind this evening. I am Mark Gideon in Wichita, KS and Dale hired me to help with his greenhouse and tree farm operations while I was studying horticulture at KSU. I am now close to 70 so it has been almost 50 years but I do remember getting shipments ready for the ALCO stores and trimming evergreen trees in the beautiful Kansas weather. Dale was an honest ethical decent man and I will always appreciate him giving me a chance to sharpen my skills. God Bless and may he RIP
Sorry to hear of Dale Apel's death. Had the pleasure of serving with him in the KSU Cooperative Extension for many years. He had a notable impact on 4-H and other programs for the Extension Service.
