Obituary of Elna Florence Haubold

Elna Florence Haubold, age 101, passed away April 28, 2022. She was born February 6, 1921 to Conrad Carl and Emma S (Swanson) Blomberg, in Ellsworth County, Kansas. That same year she moved with her family to a farm near Marquette, KS. After graduating from Falun High School she was employed in McPherson, KS for several years. In 1948 she moved to Denver, CO where she married Dennie Donaldson, he passed away 8 years later. In 1957, Elna married Frank Haubold. Elna worked as a partner in her husband’s trucking business in the Denver area for 35 years. Due to Frank’s health they moved to Marquette in August of 1995. Frank passed away on January 20, 1996. Elna was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Dennie Donaldson and Frank Haubold, brother; Leslie Blomberg, sisters; Mildred Nelson, Ethel Boggs, Ilene Andrews, Vernice Horn, and Baby Ruby, as well as nieces; Debra Sue Beck and Verna James. Survivors include nephews; Laurence (Cheryl) Andrews, Banks, AL, LeRoy (Julie) Andrews of Tonganoxie, KS, Lyle (Amy) Andrews of Kansas City, KS, Lavern (Cari) Andrews of Holton, KS, Bradley Horn of Easton, PA, nieces; Sheryl Black of Brookville, KS, Shirley (Gary) Donley of Kanopolis, KS, and Special friend of the Haubold family, Steve (Lucille) Peterson of Thorton, CO. Visitation will be from 5-6pm, Monday May 2, 2022 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday May 3, at the funeral home.
